Totally Tortoise

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that a tortoiseshell watch may actually be MORE versatile and practical than silver or gold. Personally, I believe that you should invest in one really nice watch, so it was a pretty big decision for me. I went back and forth between a bunch of colors and styles before finally deciding on a medium-sized tortoise Michael Kors watch. It seemed like the best choice as something I could wear every day- not too wintery or summery, not too casual but also not too extravagant. Since I have a small wrist, the medium size is noticeable but not overwhelming. I would definitely recommend buying one!

It's A Jungle Out There!

This is definitely a trend that took a while to grow on me. Maybe it's just my partiality towards simplicity, or the cumulative effects of watching Jersey Shore, but until recently I was pretty wary of wearing anything with animal print. In the past few months, though, I've seen so many gorgeous outfits with safari-inspired accessories. The pop of print allows your outfit to be fun and exciting and still be totally classy and elegant! I finally gave in and bought a pair of flats- I'm officially obsessed!

Lilly Lovin'

There's nothing better than putting on these incredibly cozy Lilly sweats after a long day at school! With temperatures down below freezing, I don't know what I would do without them!

Winter Blues

What better way to get excited for spring than by dressing for it and pretending it's already here? (Note: After a series of trial and error, it was discovered that this only works indoors.) Aren't Northeastern winters the best?

DIY of the Day

I stumbled upon this idea on Pinterest, and I just HAD to try it right away! I was pretty skeptical at first. The thought of glitter so close to the USB holes in my iPhone and laptop freaked me out a little, but it turned out great! The nail polish totally holds it all together. I used my one of my favorite polishes of all time, Milani "Disco Lights." I highly recommend this brand if you want to try this yourself. If the polish were a little thinner and less able to retain the glitter, you might have to worry about shedding, which could harm your phone/computer (I tell you this from experience. I fried an MP3 player when I was younger by "decorating" it with glitter.). A top coat of clear polish could fix that, though!

An Ode to a Private Schooler's Go-To Shoe

If you don't own a pair of these, your life is unfulfilled.
